Slab pre-pour inspections in Clyde: common questions

How far ahead should a Clyde stage inspection be booked?

What happens if we find something?

You send the report to the supervisor that afternoon. Most items are fixed before the truck arrives the next morning.

Do you check the plumbing under the slab?

We record penetrations and whether the barrier has been sealed around them. Testing the pipework is the plumber's certification, not ours.

Is the pour delayed?

That is between you and your builder. Most findings at this stage take an hour to fix.

What standard applies?

AS 2870 for residential slabs and footings, plus your engineer's drawing.

Can you inspect after the pour instead?

No. Nothing under concrete can be assessed once it is placed.
