No. A defect investigation is written for you and your builder. The Building and Plumbing Commission dispute resolution service and VCAT need an expert witness report, written to the VCAT expert evidence practice note. We can upgrade the report if it gets that far.
We do not carry out destructive investigation, provide engineering certification, take soil or geotechnical samples, or perform the rectification work. Where a finding needs an engineer, we say so in the report.
