FAQ

Pre-Handover (PCI) Inspections in Clyde: common questions

When should I book a PCI in Clyde?

As soon as your builder gives you a practical completion date, and at least a week before it. That leaves time for us to attend, write the report and for you to send the list before you are asked to sign.

What is not included in a pre-handover inspection?

It is a visual inspection. We do not energise circuits, pressure test plumbing, commission heating or cooling, test appliances or automatic garage door safety systems, and we do not inspect concealed framing, anything below ground or areas blocked by stored goods. Electrical, gas and appliance commissioning are for the licensed trades and the certifier.

Can you come back after the builder fixes the list?

Yes. A reinspection checks each item off the original report and gives you a second written record before settlement, which matters if anything is still outstanding.
